Today in our work kitchen, I rinsed my mouth in the sink.
I never thought the smell of water on metal would remind me so much of home.
Funny, the things we take for granted.
"Poetry never saved anybody's life. But people die everyday from a lack of what can be found there." This blog is a place to share creative thought and emphasis on occurrences around me.

Cause the streets still got butterflies and enough kids to catch em
[Clap your hands say yeah-over and over again]
SO, I dropped my phone into a bowl of water.
I guess thats what I get for sitting on my vanity in the mornings.
Now there is a mini rave going on behind the screen. All sorts of little frequency waves and dancing pixels. Its really king of pretty :)
My semester is going to be incredible. Here is the list that I flip through in my brain every day, a few times a day.
This weekend, MOM COMES!!!!! It is going to be incredible :)
The wednesday after that, I fly to hollywood with five best friends, fo free.
When I get back Mardi Gras break starts.
March 23 I go to Destin for five days
April 16th I go to NJ for a dubstep concert!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I get back its one week till spring break
When spreak break is over, its one week till summer
Then we go to the beach
Then Sarah gets married...
Are you beginning to realize just how (and I hate to use the word, which is outplayed more than the list in my head) EPIC these next few months will be?
Because I am :D

Todd, the world's first unmanned flying desk set
Neil: Todd, I think you're underestimating the value of this desk set.
Neil: I mean, who would want a football or a baseball or...
Todd Anderson: Or a car.
Neil: Or a car, if they could have a desk set as wonderful as this one? I mean, if-if I were ever going to buy a desk set, twice, I would probably buy this one. Both times! In fact, its shape is... it's rather aerodynamic, isn't it?
I love my desk. Here's a glimpse of what sits in front of the rollie chair I've molded to.
A mint green and cream colored Anthology of Contemporary Chinese Writers
A Van Gough covered cell phone
A vanilla scented candle shaped like a sugar holder
A DeMask print to go coffee cup
A yellow and red rose, soaking inside the coffee cup
Honey
Sunflowers
A very special letter on yellow paper
A flight itinerary
Fahrenheit 451
Sugar packets
New mixed CDs
A Vera Bradley sticky note
Newspapers and newspaper dummy pages
It is a happy place :)

You already know
[DeVotchka - How it Ends]
"Hold your grandmother's bible to your chest/ gonna put it to the test."
You already know how this will end.
I am so sick of the no escape of post modernism. This whole existential, Neitzche rip off.
When you think about it, we already know how things will end. A light extinguished only to be rekindled by an unrelenting mercy. Anything forgiven. And yet people strive. Why is that?
Its like skipping to the last page of every book, and then reading them all anyway, with vigor. We already know lines like "Frankly my dear" and "Here's lookin a you, kid,"and we still invest. We still crave to be the salt of the earth.
The human race is by far the most unexplainable symbol of God's joy. A race that shows compassion, a notion that completely contradicts the fittest surviving. And does so knowing the last page, knowing that Humphrey Bogart doesn't get the girl.
To know everything can be forgiven, and then refuse to settle.
Human race, you are beyond my wildest dreams.

I heard from the halls a great parade
Todays I was awoken by a ruckus.
On a hall where no one speaks to one another, I heard all sorts of laughter and screaming from outside my door.
I literally rolled out of bed, thanking my socks (a part of my sleeping pattern) as the cold tile had no effect on my toes.
I opened my door to find about ten or so girls bouncing around in the hallway. One of them noticed me, "ITS SNOWING!!!!" she smiled at me.
Some of them were already going for the exit, others were waiting impatiently at the door of half asleep friends to put their coats on.
Now I am sitting at my desk, looking through my second story window. Claire de Lune turns regular snow fall (not that LA snow fall is all that regular) into a ballet.
Good morning to you all :)

He was a good king.
"Don't succumb to the chauvinism of the present and the familiar."
